The Candela P-12 is our latest innovation—the world’s first electric hydrofoil ferry in operation, serving commuters in Stockholm and soon expanding to several other countries. By combining lightweight carbon fiber hulls, sensors, computers, and advanced submerged hydrofoils, our vessels fly above the water, delivering unmatched efficiency compared to conventional diesel ferries.

We are now looking for a Quality Engineer to support Candela’s growth ambitions. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for setting up and lead Candela’s quality management framework and quality assurance process.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Support the organization developing the management system to meet external and internal requirements

• Manage and develop document and case management methods and systems

• Lead the implementation of new instructions

• Coordinate and standardize the management system among operating units

• Lead, participate and propose projects/activities aimed at developing the management system

• Coordinate external audits (customers, authorities and certification bodies)

• Coordinate and conduct internal audits

• Report and follow up on the status of audit non-conformances

• Support and drive the work to address audit non-conformances

• Participate in the management and development of quality management

• Actively participate in the management and design of instructions and monitoring of these

To be successful in the role:

You are a social person who enjoys communication and establishing business relationships. It is natural for you to be organized and prioritize your tasks at work. You have an eye for detail but can also see the big picture and how everything is related. You are an analytical person, focused on quality and driven by making processes more efficient.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology and at least 5 years of experience in similar role

• Experience with production quality within a similar industry

• Knowledge in management systems and associated standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001)

• Knowledge of improvement programs (PECAT, LEAN, Black Belt, etc.)

• Experience with conducting internal audits

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

It would be preferred if you:

• Have experience with driving the implementation of ISO standards, document systems, instructions
