Our innovation journey
-
Candela C-7
After four years of R&D, we launched the Candela C-7 in 2019.
As the world’s first electric hydrofoil vessel, it quickly set several records: the electric boat with the longest range, and the most efficient powerboat ever built.
Between 2019 and 2021, we built 32 units of this open ‘roadster of the seas,’ establishing a foundation for Candela and demonstrating the advantages of electric foiling.

Candela C-8
Our second-generation leisure model has been hailed as a ‘game changer’.
With all the amenities expected in the 27-foot category, such as a large cabin, sunbed, and hardtop, it also boasts an even longer electric range than the C-7.
The C-8 introduces our C-POD motor, making it the quietest boat on the market.
Thanks to DC charging, long range trips are effortless. The C-8 have travelled between Sweden and Finland in a single day.

Candela P-12
Candela P-12 is the world’s first electric hydrofoil ferry.
With a destination-to-destination speed of 25 knots, silent flight, no wake, and a cost per passenger mile that is only 10% of traditional diesel ferries, the Candela P-12 is unlocking our waterways.
In 2024 Candela P-12 served in Stockholm’s public transport, cutting travel times in half compared to other forms of transport thanks to getting an exemption from speed limit
We're just getting started
In just over a decade, we've gone from a hand-built prototype to electric ferries carrying passengers in public transport. The next chapter includes scaling production, expanding globally, and transforming how people move on water.
