Meet Andreas Riberth

I joined Candela last year, and what a ride it has been. I'm part of the People team, where I lead different projects and initiatives that help make Candela the best place possible to work.

One thing I've really enjoyed is that my role has evolved a lot since I started. Nothing has been fixed in stone. As Candela grows, new challenges and opportunities come up all the time, which means I'm constantly getting to work on new things and learn along the way. That's a big part of what makes the job so fun.

I love the scale-up atmosphere. Things move fast, and you can really make an impact.

But if I'm honest, one of my favourite things about Candela is the people. It might sound simple, but people here are just nice. There isn't much ego, and there's a very friendly spirit across the company. People genuinely want to help each other, and that makes a huge difference when you're working hard towards ambitious goals.

My focus is the people behind the boats.

I work to make sure our teams have the right support, training, tools and environment to do their best work. Whether it's helping people develop, creating better processes, or making sure we have a safe workplace, it's all about enabling the people who are building the future of electric boating.

Joining Candela is really about solving problems you've probably never solved before.

Things move quickly, you'll get a lot of trust and autonomy, and you'll have the chance to make a real impact from day one. At the same time, you're surrounded by people who want to help and work as a team.

It's challenging, sometimes a bit chaotic, but in a good way. I've learned a huge amount in a short time, and it's been a great place to grow.
