Candela’s ultimate purpose is to speed up the transition to fossil fuel-free lakes and oceans. We strive to re-think efficiency in marine transportation to radically push the performance boundaries of electric boats and ships.

By combining sensors, computers and advanced submerged hydrofoils, our electric craft fly above the water, reaching speeds and range previously attained only by fossil fuel powerboats.

After launching Candela C-7, Europe’s currently best-selling electric boat, we recently launched Candela C-8, the first electric boat intended for high volume production. We are also venturing into public transport with the revolutionary foiling P-12 ferry, built for the city of Stockholm.

We are now looking for a Head of Sales to support Candela’s growth ambitions in the US.

Your Responsibilities

Candela has a huge potential in the US. With minimal marketing we have received pre-orders from +15 states. Now is the time to harness that potential in a structured way! 

As the Head of Sales you will be responsible for building the market; strategy, tactics and processes to establish Candela in the US with an initial focus on Florida and California.

In order to be successful in this role you will implement an effective sales process built on identifying and qualifying leads and moving them in the funnel towards a demo. This is a Hunter, not a Farmer role. We know that the Candela experience is unparalleled, so if we get the right person in the boat - there is a high chance that they will buy.

• Meet and ideally exceed sales targets, i.e sell X boats to existing CRM and to new leads, while also building a solid pipeline for the following year
• Work with Swedish HQ to develop and roll out an effective lead generation and sales process
• Identify the next region for Candela to expand in the US and build a business case for that market
• Identify, hire and on board the right talent to expand the team in the US

• Analytical, ie. comfortable with looking at numbers to evaluate; channels, partners target groups etc to see where to focus the efforts
• Kind & Revolutionary

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years solid sales experience, ideally managing a small team
• Has been successful in building a market /region on their own merits. I.e acted as an owner of a territory and significantly increased sales.
• Has proven leadership abilities and qualities that makes the team want to follow them
• Has experience in selling to UHNWI
• Preferred: You can drive a boat
