Sales Manager US - North America
Candela Technology is on a mission to speed up the transition to fossil fuel-free lakes and oceans. With our electric hydrofoiling vessels that significantly push the performance limits of electric boats and ships, we are able to re-think energy efficiency in marine transportation.
By combining sensors, computers, and advanced submerged hydrofoils, our electric craft flies above the water, reaching speeds and ranges previously attained only by boats powered by fossil fuels.
After launching the Candela C-8, currently the best-selling electric leisure boat in Europe, we have expanded into commercial vessels and public transportation with the Candela P-8 and P-12 series of foiling vessels.
Candela is in a phase of rapid growth and we are expanding our global presence while ramping up production to meet the high demand for our vessels. During 2022, we increased staff from 60 to almost 200 and opened several international offices. Our vessels and technology have received an excellent reception from the market, and we see massive opportunities for further expansion.
We are now looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager for North America to support Candela’s growth ambitions within the commercial vessels market. This is a full-time position and while we have an office in San Francisco, we welcome applicants from the East Coast or Central US.
Your mission
Water taxis and waterborne public transport are important building blocks of the global infrastructure but have been largely dependent on outdated fossil fuel-based technology. In this role, you will lead the introduction of our fossil- and emission-free solution in North America, focussing on the sale of commercial vessels. Examples of customers include water taxi operators, hotels and resorts, tourism providers, real estate developers, and boat rental companies.

During 2022, we launched two new commercial vessel models that will hit the water in 2023 and which we believe will be game-changers for global waterborne passenger transport. The environmental and economic benefits of our solution are significant, and we have already seen strong demand.
