Candela’s ultimate purpose is to speed up the transition to fossil fuel-free lakes and oceans. We strive to re-think efficiency in marine transportation to radically push the performance boundaries of electric boats and ships.

By combining sensors, computers and advanced submerged hydrofoils, our electric craft fly above the water, reaching speeds and range previously attained only by fossil fuel powerboats.

After launching Candela C-7, Europe’s currently best-selling electric boat, we launched Candela C-8 in August 2021, the first electric boat intended for high volume production. We are also venturing into public transport with the revolutionary foiling P-30 ferry, built for the city of Stockholm.

We are now looking for a Project Manager – Manufacturing Engineering to support Candela’s growth ambitions.

Core responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for managing various factory planning and equipment purchasing projects. You will be working closely with the engineering/project team to plan, design and build new production lines, optimize existing ones or improve individual processes by utilizing new methods and/or automation. You will run the implementation of selected projects. Your work will lead to improved production output, better quality and a safer work environment to fulfill or exceed Candela’s growth plans. Key responsibilities include:

• Development of production lines/flows for efficient high-quality production
• Managing production equipment sourcing projects; both big and small
• Analyzing the OEE/OPE of existing production processes and lines for improvements
• Gathering information and analysis of production costs
• Doing pre-studies for sourcing projects by market research, talking to industry experts and suppliers, study visits
• Developing Candela’s best practices for technical project management

Your profile

• Degree in Engineering, preferably a Master’s degree.
• Proven experience and excellence in technical project management
• You have excellent technical and analytical skills
• You are very good at gathering, structuring and presenting information both verbally and in writing
• You have the skills and experience to do basic investment appraisal
• Experience with boat manufacturing and composite part production is a strong plus
• You are good at engaging people and leading small project teams
• You feel comfortable working with short deadlines and in a dynamic environment
• You have good time management and planning skills
• You can handle setbacks and are good at finding solutions for getting things back on track
• You are a skilled listener and communicator
• You are eager to learn new things and dare to take up challenges and tackle difficult problems
• Ideally, you are comfortable using CAD-software.
